PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dennis grew up in his family’s business, Tiffany’s Skate Inn, serving the Puyallup community since 1969. As a teenager, he launched his first business while in high school, laying the foundation for a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit. Later, Dennis and his wife Melinda purchased the family roller skating business from his parents, transforming it into KING Family Fun Center, which they’ve owned and operated since 2007 in Downtown Puyallup. Together, they’ve created jobs, revitalized local entertainment, and invested in building lasting memories for families across Pierce County.
Beyond his work in entertainment, starting numerous businesses and partnering in many others, Dennis has built a nationally recognized real estate career. As a Realtor with eXp Realty, in 2024 he has been ranked in the Top 250 agents out of more than 87,000 agents nationwide. Dennis specializes in helping families and investors build generational wealth through real estate, with expertise spanning Pierce, King, and Thurston counties. His work has not only helped countless families find their first home, next home, or investment property, but he has also contributed to strengthening neighborhoods and supporting economic growth in the region.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Dennis has a long track record of giving back to Puyallup. He served two terms as President of the Puyallup Kiwanis Club (2017–2019) and currently serves on the Kiwanis Foundation Board, working to expand opportunities for youth and families throughout the area. He has volunteered with the Puyallup School District as a classroom assistant and School WatchDOG, and together with Melinda, has contributed generously to local nonprofits, service organizations, and community causes. Giving back to the community has been a staple in the King Family for generations, and Dennis will not be stopping anytime soon.

Public Safety: Strengthened funding and resources for Puyallup Police, supporting local Fire and EMS, ensuring first responders have the tools they need to protect the community. Supported initiatives that have helped REDUCE CRIME 18% SINCE TAKING OFFICE, enhance emergency response, and improve neighborhood safety you can feel.

Economic Development: Championed downtown revitalization, new housing opportunities, and local business growth, helping attract new investment while preserving Puyallup’s small-city character. Dennis has worked to make Puyallup a place where businesses can thrive and families can prosper.

Fiscal Responsibility: Advocated for balanced budgets, smart use of taxpayer dollars, and long-term financial planning that keeps Puyallup strong without raising unnecessary taxes.​
STATEMENT
Dennis King is a community leader who has lived in Puyallup for over 40 years. He and his wife Melinda were married at Pioneer Park and chose Puyallup as the place to raise their two children. As a small business owner, real estate professional, and public servant, Dennis knows what it takes to create opportunity while keeping the community safe and financially stable.
On City Council, Dennis has continued to champion “Puyallup-Style” collaboration and consensus-building, NOT Seattle-Style Politics. He believes in preserving Puyallup’s values while preparing for the future with common-sense solutions.
